PADDINGTON STATION
Cross Rail - Weston Williamson Architects

Award-winning architects Weston Williamson has developed a concept design for the refurbishment of iconic Paddington Station in London. Originally designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel, the Neoclassical cast iron and brick station is being revamped, bringing the facilities up-to-date as part of the Paddington Integrated Project masterplan.

With the refurbishment of such an historic location, securing the approval and support of a diverse range of stakeholders would be vital. Communication of the proposals will therefore be key to the smooth progress of the development. Working closely with the project's lead architect, Arc produced a set of verified view montage images - an accurate depiction of the development within its environment - in order to support the planning process. In addition, Arc produced a series of marketing images demonstrating the different view points customers and commuters will see on their approach, and further details of external finishes and materials to be used in marketing collateral.

The commission was for the early phase of the long term regeneration of the site and Arc is continuing to provide visual communication services for marketing and communication of the development.
